Home Minister Imran Abdullah today said that the leaders will flee after creating chaos or commotion at political rallies and release the weaker sections of the society.
Regarding the opposition's planned rally in male' city involving people from all over the country, Imran said people should understand the hypocrisy practices adopted by political leaders during rallies.
Imran said some political leaders just run away from the rally after heating up the political rallies.
"The downtrodden are being blamed and punished. The leaders are running away," said Imran in a tweet.
Imran appealed to all the people not to allow leaders to do so irrespective of their ideologies.
Jumhooree Party (JP) leader Qasim Ibrahim has also urged people not to participate in the opposition's rally on the Chagos issue. He appealed to all members to maintain peace and harmony in the country as decided in the party's council meeting.
