Police have recovered a taxi that fled with property worth Mvr 1.5 lakh.
According to police, a taxi in a queue at Velana International Airport was reported to have fled with the consignment after it was loaded with electronic items worth Mvr 1.5 lakh.
The cab and the properties were recovered after investigation based on the complaint and CCTV footage.
Police said that when something happens to the people, the Maldives Police Force will always be closest to the people when it comes to providing assistance.
The police did not say whether the cab driver had been charged with a criminal offence or not.
