MP Abdullah Jabir, Kaashidhoo Constituency, has condemned The Democrats for not being democratic at all.
He believes that a departing faction from the ruling MDP should not be forming a political party. He made the comments to Raajje TV on Thursday on its Fashaairu Show.
Jabir said that Speaker Mohamed Nasheed, who is considered a champion of democracy should not be leading such a movement.
Even though, Nasheed is still the President of Ruling MDP, he is openly engaged in the efforts to form The Democrats.
MP Jabir labelled the political movement headed by Nasheed, as “overloaded with personal interests” in his (Nasheed’s) pursuit to be the head of the government.
