The opposition Progressive Coalition has announced to hold a protest inside the Parliament tomorrow.

The minority leader of the parliament, Eydhafushi constituency Ahmed Saleem, told at a news conference held at the parliamentary office today that the minority members can only protest as MDP, which has a majority in parliament, does not want to cooperate.

Speaking on the topic Maavashu constituency MP Mohamed Saeed reassured that the protest will progress at the Parliament tomorrow. He also stated that the Secretary of the Parliament has been informed of it as well.

"We will enter the House tomorrow. We have also notified the Secretary General. We will enter the House even if it is locked," said MP Saeed.

The opposition continued demanding that the work of the standing committees to hold the government and independent institutions accountable and oversight be started soon. However, there is no support from MDP, said MP Saleem.

Meanwhile, MDP PG leader has stated that the party had given concessions in forming the committees and it was the opposition that is not cooperating in the formation of the committees.
