The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced that the Covid19 seroprevalence study of randomly selected participants from the general population in the greater Male’ area is now complete.
The study was conducted jointly with HPA and the Maldives National University (MNU). HPA has initially informed that 936 samples from below 17 years of age, 1730 samples between the age of 18 to 34, and 1232 samples between the age of 35 and 59 will be taken. While, from the elderly above 60, 200 samples will be taken.
This Seroprevalence study conducted in the greater Male’ area can Identify past exposure to Covid-19.
