Former Jumhooree Party (JP) President and former Tourism Minister Ali Waheed has reconfirmed that he is still be a member of the JP.
Ali Waheed said this after his first political meeting with JP leader Gasim Ibrahim after returning back to the country from spending many days out of country.
Speaking at the Maamigili airport, Ali Waheed said JP leader Gasim Ibrahim has always helped him the most politically. He said that peace has been established in the Country today because of the efforts of the JP Ministers and the JP.
Ali Waheed will also appear on political podiums in the future, but only after July 20, he said. Speaking further, he also reassured that he is still a member of the JP and highlighted the JP's decision to contest in the upcoming presidential election.
Ali Waheed said that JP leader Gasim and his political views will not differ much. The two have done a lot of political work together, he said.
Ali Waheed said Gasim became the first political leader he met after arriving in the Maldives and that he was very special to him.
