Jumhooree Party’s (JP’s) leader and presidential nominee MP Qasim Ibrahim says that his meeting with Maldives National Party’s (MNP’s) leader and presidential candidate MP Mohamed Nazim on Tuesday was mainly about entering into a partnership where they can work together.
MP Nazim was accompanied with MP Abdulla Riyaz and MP Ahmed Usham from MNP to the meeting with JP Leader, MP Qasim Ibrahim.
Qasim said that discussions with MNP’s leader MP Nazim were mainly about working together for the upcoming Presidential and parliamentary elections and also cooperating in the Parliament.
According to Qasim, yesterday’s meeting with Nazim was an initiative of a series of negotiations that will take place in the future.
“The successful talks have made us truly hopeful”, Qasim said after the meeting.
