The residents of Fuvahmulah City warmly welcome President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih upon his arrival on the island today.
President Solih started his tour of the Southern City as part of his presidential campaign. People packed inside the terminal and outside of the city’s airport to receive him.
Vice President Faisal Naseem who is from the city is also traveling with President Solih in addition to many cabinet ministers and leaders of the ruling MDP.
President Solih is set to announce his running mate in a campaign rally tonight in the city. Many expect President Solih to announce Vice President Naseem as his running mate in the September presidential election.
