President Nasheed has done nothing for Feevah island, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih stated today.

President Solih made the statement while speaking at a Presidential campaign event held at Sh. Feevah island.

Speaking at the event, President said that Feevah island has been neglected by previous governments.

According to him, that no development projects have been implemented in the island during the Nasheed administration. Adding to that President stated that during President Yameen's administration only 3 projects were implemented at the island and that is because the governments are only thinking about votes due to the low population.

“Such small islands are ignored by previous governments. I believe they are always thinking only about the next five-year elections,” the President said.

The President said the current government does not discriminate against any islands in implementing projects. Many of its projects will be completed in his second term, he said.

According to President Solih, the development of the beach area has now been handed over to MTCC and the construction of the youth center has also been awarded. At the same time, the necessary changes to the road and the school will be brought as well, said the President.

The President said the government's aim is to bring the happy and peaceful Maldives to the people of the Maldives.
