President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the newly completed infrastructure on Madduvari and Dhuvaafaru Islands in Raa Atoll on Wednesday and Thursday. These projects include a football ground, newly constructed roads, the completion of a land reclamation project on Dhuvaafaru Island, and an upgraded harbor on Madduvari Island. These improvements represent significant investments in the development and well-being of the local communities and will enhance the quality of life for residents of these islands.

The new infrastructure on Madduvari and Dhuvaafaru Islands was officially inaugurated as part of President Solih's ongoing tour. The harbor upgrading project on Madduvari Island was completed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The project included dredging the harbor basin and channel, developing a 582-meter quay wall, and installing a 135-meter revetment.

On Dhuvaafaru Island, President Solih marked the completion of the land reclamation project. The project contracted to MTCC saw the addition of 22.2 hectares of land and the development of a protective revetment. The President also marked the completion of the road construction project on Dhuvaafaru Island, which involved the construction of 5.7 kilometers of road by MTCC.

President Solih inaugurated the new football ground on Dhuvaafaru Island. The subbase of the new football ground was carried out by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). At the same time, the turf installation was completed by V.A.M. Company Pvt. Ltd. and the light installation by CoreLine Maldives Pvt. Ltd. These improvements will provide a high-quality playing surface for local athletes and support the development of football on the island.

Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has achieved significant strides towards equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes enhancing the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih officially inaugurated the completion of numerous projects and services.
