President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih who was contented with the speed and reach of his presidential campaign encouraged his competitors on Monday to gear up in the race.
President Solih who is presently touring Laamu Atoll as part of his “Happy and Peaceful Maldives” presidential bid yesterday told a rally on the island of Gan that he believed that his competitors were yet to start their campaigns.
President Solih also told the audience that he was managing his bid “coolly”.
“Other contenders will need four to five weeks to reach me in their presidential campaigns. At that time the election will be over. The results of the voting would have been announced by that time. From there, the only available option for them is to start their campaigns for 2028”, President Solih confidently told the rally.
