MDP’s Vice Presidential candidate MP Mohamed Aslam says that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is highly popular among the voting population of the country.
MP Aslam made the comment while departing to Malaysia from Colombo after engaging with the voting population living in the Sri Lankan capital.
As part of the “Happy and Peaceful Maldives” presidential bid of President Solih, MP Aslam held a rally in Colombo which was attended by Maldivians living in the city. Thousands of Maldivians live in Colombo for educational and medical purposes.
“After visiting Colombo as part of the ‘Happy and Peaceful Maldives’ campaign, we are heading to Malaysia. We thank the Maldivians living in Colombo for expressing their support for our campaign. Indeed, we have seen President Solih’s popularity among Maldivians”, tweeted President Solih’s running mate MP Aslam today.
Thousands of Maldivians live in both Sri Lanka and Malaysia and candidates who run for electoral offices take the voters seriously.
