The focus is campaigning rather than building a coalition, MDP presidential candidate President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said Tuesday evening.
The President made the statement while speaking to reporters after the resumption of the MDP campaign activities. President said the door is open for all parties to form a coalition in the second round. However, the aim now is to intensify the campaign, he said.
He said talks are being held with all parties, but the focus is on the campaign rather than a coalition.
"We can talk to people who want to talk to us. We are open. More than that, our focus is on the campaign," he said.
The President also said that he is confident of winning the election in the second round.
