The Jumhooree Party (JP) has decided not to support any candidate in the second round of the presidential election.
The JP decided to do so at its recent council meeting, which was chaired by Gasim Ibrahim.
Announcing the decision, JP leader and the Parliament Member for Maamigili constituency, Gasim Ibrahim stated the party council has decided to remain silent and not support any candidate in the second round of the Presidential Elections.
"In light of all the talk we have made in the campaign to get support, and considering the documents that we have, we are convinced that what we have said is true, therefore we will remain silent and we will not support any party in the second round of the presidential election," said Gasim.
