The PPM-PNC government will create a special ministry for local councils, stated the opposition coalition candidate Dr. Mohammed Muizzu.
He said this while addressing a campaign event held during his ongoing visit to haadhaal atoll.
During his visit to Hdh atoll, Muizzu has been speaking highly about the developments that he will bring for hdh atoll islands, if he is elected as the President.
He also spoke on how he would support island councils. For which, he said that he would create a special ministry to assist local councils in their affairs. This will strengthen the running of the councils, he said.
Muizzu said his government would formulate a 20-year master plan for national development and give legal authority to the plan. This will prevent another government from stopping or not continuing the work initiated from themaster plan, said Muizzu.
