Famous local businessman Ahmed Arif (Aattey) called to stop blaming each other and rather start to take responsibility to save the country.
Arif referred his comments to the statements raised by the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, and speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed, for the current financial debt of the government. In a tweet, Arif said that rather than blaming the debt on each other, its better to take responsibility in saving the country.
Meanwhile, speaking at the Hoarafushi Airport inauguration ceremony, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has blamed the previous government for the current financial debt. President added that the opposition has put the country in a 60 billion Rufiyaa debt.
However, the opposition have denied Presidents accusations, and have said that the loans were taken for the development of the country after finding ways to repay it back. In addition, opposition leaders have also blamed that the current government has taken loans, just to pay for the salaries rather than to achieve any development plans promised.
