Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC) confirms 102 people positive to Covid-19 from Airport Cargo department.
Speaking at the recent HEOC press conference, Dr. Nazla said that, so far, 102 people have been positive to Covid-19 from Airport Cargo department and 191 people have been found as direct contact to them.
Dr. Nazla added that the airport cargo department reported the first positive case on November 5th, and on November 12th, additional five cases were reported positive. Moreover, on November 13th additional six cases were reported, while on the 14th, seven cases were reported positive from the airport cargo department.
Dr. Nazla said that on November 15th three positive cases were reported while on November 16th additional 10 positive cases were reported from the airport cargo department.
Besides Airport Cargo Department, positive cases have been reported from staff of the China Harbour Engineering Company, and Chinese communication company, working at the new airport terminal and airport runway development project.
As per the recent statistics, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 12,608 cases and 11,599 people have made full recoveries. So far, Maldives has recorded 45 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
