The list of recipients of 4,000 flats will be made public before the 5th of this month, the Planning Ministry said.

National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure Ministry State Minister Akram Kamaluddin told the media that the first 4,000 people will be selected on the basis of points.

Akram made the statement while speaking in response to allegations in a case filed with the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) that 4,000 flats allocated under the landlord scheme are being distributed outside the rules. The allegation also claimed that the living conditions of the people who applied for the flats were not properly surveyed.

The complaint to the ACC alleges that the Planning Ministry has not disclosed the list of 13,000 people who are eligible for the flats. The complaint to the ACC also said that the rules for determining the people who will be given the flats have not been disclosed.

In response to the allegations, Akram said the rules for awarding points have been published in the Gazette and on the Planning Ministry's portal. In addition, Akram said that the applicants' houses were surveyed randomly within two months to check the living conditions of all the houses.
