A petition to ban Israelis from entering the Maldives has been passed.
The petition was submitted to parliament yesterday by the Right Movement with 1,000 signatures.
The petition was accepted and discussed at the Petitions Committee of the Parliament today.
Speaking during the Petitions Committee of the Parliament meeting today, Parliament Member for Ungoofaaru constituency Mohamed Waheed stated that the Maldives is not against any country. However, he said the Maldives would not welcome inhuman acts in another country.
During the committee meeting, Parliament member Hassan Lateef stated that what was happening in Palestine was not a war but a genocide. He also emphasized that the people of the Maldives will never accept genocide.
