On Monday night, Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef departed for China on an official visit to attend the ‘China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Development Cooperation’.
The China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Development Cooperation, organized by the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), is scheduled to be held from December 7–8, 2023 in Kunming, Yunnan Province in China.
The Vice President will address the forum and hold meetings with Chinese officials during his visit. Vice President Hussain is accompanied by Minister of Economic Development and Trade H.E. Mohamed Saeed.
The Vice President will arrive in the Maldives after attending the high-level event to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR75) to be held in Geneva from December 11–12, 2023.
