First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has officially inaugurated the ‘Dhon Bandaarain Handh’aanee Mauraz’, a special exhibition to commemorate Huravee Day in the Maldives.

Organized by the Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture, and Heritage in collaboration with the National Centre for Cultural Heritage, the exhibition will be held from December 17–21, 2023. This exhibition includes relics belonging to Donbandarain and some armor used in the past. Some of the artifacts belonging to Donbandarain include the ‘fagudi’ he wore, the lance he used, and the coins he minted during his reign.

Following the exhibition's opening, the First Lady took a tour and observed the artifacts on display. She viewed the museum's other collections and inquired about them as well.

The Administration is conducting various programs to celebrate Huravee Day in the Maldives. In addition to the exhibition, the Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture, and Heritage organized a children's festival last Friday to commemorate Huravee Day.
