President Dr Mohamed Muizzu arrived on Hoarafushi Island today as part of his tour of several islands in the Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu, Shaviyani, and Noonu Atolls. The President received a warm welcome upon his arrival on the island.
The President will meet with city and island councils and the Women's Development Committee (WDCs) to discuss the most pertinent development issues.
The President had earlier announced that he would try to visit as many islands as possible and meet with all the councils before Ramadan. On his first tour of the southernmost atolls of the country, the President met with councils from Addu, Fuvahmulah, Thinadhoo Cities, and all islands of Thaa and Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. He also met with all except for two councils in Gaafu Alifu Atoll.
A high-level Government delegation will accompany the President on this tour.
