President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that the construction of the R. Meedhoo harbor will proceed in accordance with the desires of the community. These remarks were made during his meeting with the R. Meedhoo Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC).

During the meeting, the Council members underscored specific modifications to be incorporated, such as expanding the harbor, the imperative need for a hospital, addressing housing shortages, shore protection, and maximizing land reclamation within feasible limits.

Additionally, the members emphasized the necessity of developing modern roads, providing indoor sports facilities, establishing an Islamic center, and installing a dollar ATM on the island.

President Dr Muizzu, along with Cabinet Ministers present at the meeting, provided the latest updates on the issues raised by the Council.
