December 21st, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 08 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 04 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 04 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 13,501 cases, including 517 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 291,924 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 2,613 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 34 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 12,929.
According to HPA, there are 40 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 48 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
