The Maldives has deported more than 3,000 illegal immigrants, according to recent reports. From November 17 last year through the 25th of this month, 3,322 foreigners have been sent back to their countries of origin.

They noted that while there are numerous sources of information regarding illegal immigration, current laws do not fully address these challenges. Consequently, the Maldives Immigration and Police are collaborating closely to identify and apprehend illegal immigrants.
