The Member States of the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) officially signed the Charter and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of the CSC Secretariat. The signing ceremony took place in Colombo, hosted by the Government of Sri Lanka.

The documents were signed by prominent officials: Mr. Ajit Doval K.C., National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of India; Mr. Ibrahim Latheef, Retired Deputy Commissioner and National Security Advisor of the Maldives; Mr. Haymandoyal Dillum, High Commissioner of the Republic of Mauritius to Sri Lanka; and Mr. Sagala Ratnayake, National Security Adviser to the President of Sri Lanka.

The CSC aims to enhance regional security by addressing transnational threats and challenges shared by its member states. The Conclave focuses on five key areas of cooperation: Maritime Safety and Security; Countering Terrorism and Radicalization; Combating Trafficking and Transnational Organized Crime; Cyber Security and Protection of Critical Infrastructure and Technology; and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief.

The ceremony concluded with a discussion among the heads of delegation on the future activities and strategic direction of the Conclave.
