President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu reaffirmed his commitment to shaping a policy that ensures all Maldivians receive state assistance, regardless of where they are in the world. The President made this pledge while meeting with Indians living in New Delhi during his official state visit to India.

Accompanied by First Lady Madam Sajida Mohammed, President Muizzu also engaged with locals working in New Delhi and expressed his administration’s focus on providing full support to all citizens of the Maldives, both at home and abroad. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the state stands by its people, no matter where they are located.

During the meeting, the President outlined plans to refine the country’s foreign policy to deliver the fullest assistance to all Maldivians, with a particular focus on improving and enhancing these efforts. He noted that this policy would also ensure that citizens of Maldives, who have connections with the Maldives, receive similar support from the Maldivian state.

President Muizzu spent considerable time listening to the concerns and needs of those living in New Delhi, emphasizing the importance of staying connected to the community. The event concluded with the President and his wife taking a souvenir photograph with the attendees as a memento of the occasion.

This engagement comes as part of President Muizzu’s broader efforts to strengthen diplomatic ties with India and extend state assistance to Maldivians globally. His visit reflects a focus on fostering inclusivity and maintaining strong ties between the Maldivians living abroad and their homeland.
