September 17th; (HPA) Health Protection Agency of the Maldives; reports 67 positive cases within 24 hours. This includes 44 Maldivians and 23 Foreigners.
Total of positive cases records 62 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 5 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With the new update, as per HPA; the total infected cases to Covid-19 has reached up to 9,494 in the Maldives. This includes 1,422 active cases to Covid-19 in Maldives right now.
HPA also reported recovery of 130 infected people adding up to 8,033 as total recovered cases in Maldives.
There are active Covid-19 cases in 29 resorts and in 20 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. 21 Tourists and 48 staff have been tested positive to covid-19 in the resorts.
Maldives has recorded 33 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
