Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has highlighted the positive outcomes of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's efforts to help local products gain a foothold in the international market.

Minister Saeed shared his thoughts in a post on X, reflecting on the recent signing of an agreement between Maldivian company Ensis Fisheries and China for the export of their products under the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two countries.

The agreement, signed during a ceremony in Beijing, marks a significant step under the China-Maldives Free Trade Agreement, which took effect in January. With this arrangement, Ensis Fisheries will be exporting fish products, including canned and chilled meat, to China.

Minister Saeed commended the President for his proactive approach, noting that efforts are being made to create more accessible pathways for local products. He emphasized that President Muizzu is committed to providing easy access to the world market for Maldivian products, and the quick actions being taken are already producing tangible results.

The signing of this agreement is viewed as a milestone in expanding the reach of Maldivian exports globally, strengthening the country's economic ties, and fostering opportunities for local businesses.
