February 9th , the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 192 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 154 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 38 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 27 people are positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 17,101 cases, including 2,216 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 442,549 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 4,716 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 50 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 14,882.
According to HPA, there are 204 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 56 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
