February 27th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 118 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded include 92 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 26 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 16 people are positive from operational resorts.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 19,597 cases, including 2,397 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.

So far, HPA has taken 518,663 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,993 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 130 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 17,132.

According to HPA, there are 170 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 61 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
