The Presidential Commission investigating the fall of 21-year-old Hawwa Yumnu Rasheed from the ninth floor of H. Fentenoy House has concluded that there is no clear evidence she either jumped by her own volition or was pushed by someone else.
After examining available CCTV footage and witness statements, the commission stated that no cameras were installed on the relevant floor, making it impossible to pinpoint the exact time of the fall. Attempts to contact Yumnu for comment were unsuccessful.
Raud Ahmed Zilal, who was with Yumnu that night, told the commission he did not recall the events clearly. There was no indication of quarrels or anger between them, and the commission found no evidence that Raud deliberately pushed Yumnu.
The investigation further revealed Raud made efforts to locate Yumnu immediately after the fall and sought help to search for her. Medical examination showed Yumnu had injuries consistent with the fall but no signs of a struggle.
Based on these findings, the commission believes Yumnu fell from the window but could neither confirm intentional jumping nor foul play. No third party involvement was found in the incident.
