February 28th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 196 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded include 178 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 18 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 12 people are positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 19,793 cases, including 2,475 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 523,223 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 5,142 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 113 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 17,249.
According to HPA, there are 179 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 62 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
