The local male who passed away this Wednesday morning is the 64th death reported from Covid-19 complications in the Maldives.
The 78-year-old male was admitted to Dharumavantha Hospital for further treatment to Covid-19, while he passed away at 06:09 pm on this Thursday. The Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirms that this would be the 64th Covid-19 death from Maldives.
So far, over 20,000 cases have been reported positive to Covid-19 in the Maldives, out of which, over 17,000 infected people have been recovered.
