March 7th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 131 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded include 92 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 39 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 29 people are positive from operational resorts.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 20,794 cases, including 2,599 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.

So far, HPA has taken 551,978 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,691 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 145 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 18,124.

According to HPA, there are 166 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 64 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
