The Health Protection Agency (HPA) announces an additional death of a 90 year old Maldivian man admitted in hulhumale’ Medical Facility.
HPA said the 90-year old was receiving treatment to Covid-19, at the Hulhumale' Medical Facility when he passed away at 1:25 last night. HPA’s records show this as the 34th death seen in Maldives due to Covid-19.
Meanwhile confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Maldives have increased up to 9,724, including 1,424 active cases of Covid-19. But HPA also has reported a major positive impact seen from the set guidelines. Scores from last month to this month, have shown a decrease in bed occupancy as well as the number of people reported positive to Covid-19.
However, HPA has said that it is too early to say the number of cases are consistently declining, making it unsafe to ease restrictive measures at the time being.
