March 25, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 162 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded include 99 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 63 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 15 people are positive from operational resorts and 45 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 23,091 cases, including 2,579 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 627,306 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 4,318 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 80 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 20,439.

According to HPA, there are 103 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 66 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

As per the recent statistics, 227,423 people across the Maldives have received the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive.

According to HPA, 1,052 people received the Covid-19 vaccine from outside the greater Male’ region, and 2,444 people received the Covid-19 vaccine from the greater Male’ region, in the last 24 hours.
