In regards to the letter, suggesting the Economic Minister’s resignation, from the speaker of the parliament Mr Mohamed Nasheed, Economic Minister Mr Fayyaaz Ismail mentions that he has met president Mr Ibrahim Solih even after the party received the letter and the president have not suggested him to resign from his designation.
Talking to the media, the Minister mentions that he has not done anything Mr Mohamed Nasheed has accused of him in his letter, hence he does not have any plans to resign from his post as the Economic minister either.
Mr Mohamed Nasheed has started working to introduce the question of the trust issue of Economic Minister to the parliament, but he plans to raise the issue within the Maldivian Democratic Party’s parliament before he goes any further with it.
Meanwhile, the president Mr. Ibrahim Solih has mentioned that there is no need for him to resign from his designation extending his support to the Economic Minister Mr. Fayyaaz Ismail.
