Opposition party PNC’s leader, Mr Abdul Raheem Abdulla calls to arrest the leader of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).
Speaking at the meeting held by the opposition coalition, Mr Abdul Raheem Abdulla further stated that through the oath taken by MNDF gives them the responsibility of the safety of the country and its people and respecting the law should become prior to the security of state leaders.
He further said that the MNDF does not need to provide security for state leaders if they go against the law. Meanwhile, in his speech he did not specify any further details on who went against the law. He also reminded that the salary given to MNDF and Maldives Police service is from the people's money and it is not paid from the pockets of presidents Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Mr Abdul Raheem Abdulla raised concerns over Salman Mosque not being open and said that if it was a temple the state would have already opened the place.
