The UAE’s consistent decline in daily Covid-19 cases saw a new milestone on Sunday, as per the Ministry of Health and Prevention of the country.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) confirmed that 391 people had tested positive in the last 24 hours, the lowest since August 30 last year. The country also did not record any deaths on Sunday, the second time this was achieved in as many weeks.
Since the pandemic started, UAE has recorded 732,690 positive cases with 2,075 fatalities.
In addition, the MoHAP earlier said 91.93 percent of its almost 10 million population have received at least a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine – one of the fastest vaccination campaigns in the world – while 81.08 percent of residents and citizens have been fully vaccinated. Which showed that the UAE’s strategy of mass vaccination and mass testing is clearly working, as cases have been dipping to all-time lows.
