October 1st; Health Protection Agency of the Maldives (HPA) reports 63 positive cases within 24 hours. This includes 31 Maldivians and 32 Foreigners.
Total of positive cases records 51 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 12 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in Maldives have increased up to 10,345. This includes 1,126 active cases to COVID-19 in Maldives.
HPA also reported recovery of 79 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 9,187 people recovered.
There are active COVID-19 cases in 21 resorts and in 24 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. The active cases in resorts include 10 Tourists and 17 staff.
Maldives has recorded 34 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
