In recent statements by Maldives Police Service, 4 people were arrested from the narcotics operations held in Hulhumale’, jointly by Hulhumale’ Police and Police intelligence department.
Through the special operations, two 29 year-olds, 22 year-old and a 21 year-old woman was arrested. As per statements by Police, all who got arrested were Maldivans.
During the special narcotics operations conducted on 4th October, Police checked 4 government housing flats in Hulhumale’ and in suspicion of drugs packed in Police seized 17 rubber packets and 16 piece cellophane, along with a lot of money which is suspected to be related to drug trafficking.
Further investigations are ongoing for this special operation.
