Tourism Minister Dr. Mausoom calls to reopen guest houses on October 15th.

To address the challenges in the local tourism while recovering the tourism industry, the state has announced the reopening of guest houses set on October 15th, following special health guidelines set to reopen the guest houses.

Regarding which, Minister Mausoom encouraged reopening the guest houses on October 15th, to reach a proper impact for recovering the tourism industry. He also reminded us that working to achieve the same goal, we have to work together and show our responsibility.

He also highlighted that the efforts jointly from everyone to revive the economy of the country, will be highly achieved and impacted positively.

Till 5th of October, records show that 22,007 tourists have arrived in Maldives since the Maldives borders reopened on July 15th. Since the reopening, till 6th October 223 tourist facilities, including resorts and safaris were permitted to reopen in Maldives. Guest houses are set to reopen on October 15th onwards.
