2 locals H.A Kelaa Island and H.A Dhidhdhoo Island have reported positive for Covid-19. They are currently in home quarantine while they were reported positive.
Health Emergency Operations Centre HEOC, reports that the 2 new cases were observed positive to Covi-19 from the samples taken at the end of their quarantine before releasing them. These 2 new cases involve a 22 year old female from H.A Dhidhdhoo and a 57 year old man from H.A Kelaa.
Currently there are active cases of Covid-19 in 25 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. Meanwhile G.Dh Hoadedhdhoo island has 36 active cases of Covid-19, reporting the most number of positive cases from a residential island outside of the greater Male’ area. HEOC has mentioned that a community transmission is expected in G.Dh Hoadedhdhoo.
