Due to heavy rain, some parts of the capital city have reported flooding.

The MNDF Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) has started draining water in the areas of the city where flooding has occurred.

FRS officers have been installing pumps to drain the flooded water near the running track area, boduthakurufaanu Magu since 17:30 pm today, said MNDF. FRS officers are also working to drain the flood waters in the IGMH area.

The weather forecast for the Maldives is expected to get worse over the next three days. Therefore, all travelers are requested to pay attention to this and be cautious.
