The High Commission of India in Maldives has confirmed that seven of the deceased from the fire incident last night, were Indian nationals.
The fire broke out at the M. Nirufehige, around 12:30 midnight. The fire killed 10 people.

Residents and close associates of the building where the fire broke out, told some local media that the deceased included eight Indians and two Bangladeshis.
