A man who went on Umrah pilgrimage from Maldives with Al Burooj Hajj and Umrah Group has died.
The group said that Mohamed Zaki, 83, of Gasdhoshuge, GA. Kolamaafushi, passed away at 12:00 am Mecca time.
The group also said Zaki was accompanied by his wife and some family members.
Zaki died shortly after spending two days in Medina and going to a hotel in Mecca, while prepared to perform another Umrah.
Al Burooj Hajj and Umrah Group said Zaki's funeral arrangements are being made with the assistance of the Maldivian Consulate in Jeddah and Maldivian students studying in Mecca.
