The new Hungarian Ambassador meets with President Solih
They discussed strengthening relations with Hungary in four areas.

The discussions took place after the new Hungarian Ambassador to Dhaka, István Szabo, presented his credentials to President Ibrahim Mohamed Saleh today.

During the meeting, the two expressed their desire to further strengthen ties in the fields of higher education, sports, tourism, trade and economy.

Concluding the meeting, the President and the Hungarian Ambassador expressed the hope that the close friendly relations between the two countries would be further strengthened.

In his speech, the President noted that this week marks the 48th anniversary of the establishment of political relations between Maldives and Hungary, noting that visits by high-level officials from both countries have further strengthened bilateral relations, especially in the past two years.

After handing over the letter, the President met the new Hungarian Ambassador and welcomed him on his assumption of office.
