A man has been arrested in connection of a murder case in Addu City.
According to Maldives Police Service, a young man was stabbed to death in a house in Maradhoo, Addu City, on Wednesday night. The incident was reported at 23:38 pm Wednesday Night, said Police.
Police said that the 27-year-old man who was the victim of the incident, died while being treated at the Equatorial Hospital in Addu City.
Police has arrested a 25-year-old man in connection to the murder. He was arrested after he turned himself in to the Police, followed by a court order.
According to reports, the deceased was allegedly attacked by his younger brother, after an argument between the two brothers over a drug issue. As the argument escalated, the younger brother attacked the victim, stabbing him multiple times
Police are currently investigating the incident.
