A man has been arrested for sexual assault and rape of a 5-year-old kid.

Police in the south division covering the atoll Addu and Fuvahmulak, has confirmed in receiving a report of sexual assault of a 5-year-old kid. The case was reported by a medical facility on the 13th of this month.

Police reports that for further investigation, a 36-year-old male is arrested through a court order as the alleged perpetrator.
